The Killers “Runaways” acoustic. Sendspace download[x]

Jeremy’s childhood, about how Jeremy would try to comfort his father through his grief of Maureen, despite not understanding the complexity of the relationship.

I was too young to understand
The flowers slipping from your hands
I was too young to understand
I was too young to understand

I was too young to understand
The flowers sleeping in your hands
I was too young to understand
I was too young to understand

Please, just don’t cry
Hold your, head up high
She would, want you to
She would, want you to

I think this song pertains well to a certain time-frame with Jeremy when he’s a teenager. Around the time after Jenny died, and him, Vivienne and Jim had moved, not too long after the disappearance of his father either, Jeremy became more reserved and mainly just became frightened of himself and what he might do to other people. He hid behind stage personalities and made himself tried to fool himself that none of it had happened, forcing all the grief and thoughts away from the incidents occurring within his family within the past few years.

Now mid-way through his teenage life, he creates a goal of what he wants to do, what he wants in life, and yet he’s still afraid of what he is and could be capable of. Murdering someone he cared for and still does, full of regret. The loss of his father and having no way to find him, Jim with his hateful indifference towards it, and Vivienne just being realistic and deciding they need to fend for themselves and get on with their lives.

It left an invisible mark upon Jeremy, and there has always been a doubt inside him that never completely left. The fact that he could become a monster and the seed of evil inside him could always have the potential to grow into something unstoppable.

(Ǎhk-to͝ong Bay-bi) Covered

Headcanon: Jeremy has a low self-esteem, he has for quite some time and he hides behind a stage persona and a reputation that he stands upon to hide how much he needs guidance or something to make him to be that actual person instead of pretending to just be confident. There have been many people that have made him become a better person, but without them he would just be a shell of that idea.

Memoirs of a Geisha Soundtrack- Chairman’s Waltz

This song is a triggering one. It was played during the waltz he briefly shared with Chloe/Mab. It’s the reason he started to have black-outs and something else inside him would take over. It isn’t certain what that something is, but it still lingers inside him. He won’t remember what he has done, and how severe he may have changed his circumstances, or how people feel about him. In other words, it isn’t pretty.
