Jeremy Moriarty…performer extraordinaire.

Basic info:

Name: Jeremiah Richard Moriarty. 

DOB: June 17th 1984. 

Place of birth: Waterford, Ireland.

Family: Parents are dead, cause is unresolved to this date, they died during his mid-teens. All is left is his distant brother James, who he has a complicated relationship with.

Profession: Traveling circus performer: announcer, juggler, actor, singer and dancer. His stage name is Pierre Lautrecouse and he came into being a circus performer though the break-up of his long-term girlfriend Sarah who kicked him out because of a superficial reason. At first he wandered the streets until there was an opening for him in performing which is what he loved to do most.   He has traveled the world and has become more cultured in a sense and is better for it.

Specialties: After being dumped by his girlfriend Sarah and left to fend for himself, and he learnt how to live on the streets and deal with the cruelest of characters, which turned out not to be so cruel. He has a natural charm and a way with words that can easily manipulate people into getting what he wants. He doesn’t use this ability often unless he really has to. He is decent enough to hold himself in a fist fight but is better at solving arguments through debate and reasoning.

Habits: He loves to talk and is always wanting to make new friends across the globe, never wanting to be settled down anywhere for too long even though he is very adaptable. He has a habit for saving up money and only using it when needed. He has a love for freedom and would give up anything for it. He also has a strong loyalty to family and home and would even sacrifice his own personal desires for them.

Education: Jeremy attended school in Dublin and graduated from  school with honours. He has had 2 years of study at Guildford the school of acting, before abruptly dropping out due to his sudden cut off from his girlfriend who took hold of most of his possessions besides what he had on him. Jeremy finds himself rather talented in public speaking and revels in having the ability to affect a crowd.

One of Jeremy’s biggest concerns is losing what family he has left. His brother and the circus crew are all that he can call as his family and he will protect them with all his might.

Jeremy is sort of a philanderer in a sense but is a passionate and sensual person that is attracted to his partners on more than just a visual level. He is not an individual that kisses and tells and considers being with someone to be a private and intimate matter. From working in a traveling circus he has experienced many things, some which are dark and dabbled a little on the occult side as well.

He can be somewhat possessive of the people that he loves but he means no harm by it.

His shadowy past:

There is time during Jeremy’s early twenties that has more to do with than just traveling the world with a circus. 

He learned to shoot a gun from The Doc, pick-pocketing from The Twins, hand-to hand combat from The Boys, disguises from Mark and high-risk negotiating from The Lady. 

These were all meant for practical use during times when they were low on money and needed to obtain some by more ‘questionable’ ways.

But there is more to just heists, kidnapping, robbery and fraud.
During his vacation to Paris when he was 22 he was re-acquainted with an old friend, Chloe, though he calls her Alexandria the Great. 

Jeremy vaguely describes her to others as The Lady in White. She is his unrequited love, and she was Queen Mab.

She was his first encounter with anything that was supernatural in some form or another, and she opened his eyes to that hidden part of the earth, but for a price. 

The price was so terrifying, it almost drove Jeremy to complete madness. At the time of agreeing to the exchange, of his innocence for the ability to see all that was hidden, now in plain sight, to see creatures for what they really were. In turn something else was placed inside him, the root of evil that would eat his soul from the inside out. 

For a year and a half Jeremy struggled between the hidden world and the one in plain sight. It showed in his performances and how he acted towards everyone. It was only until he had enough control over himself one night to call out, asking for help from non other than Oberon and Titania who were able to do something for him, though it wasn’t as how he thought it would go.

He was scent once again to that time, at the ball, but this time as who he had become, with the evil flourishing inside him and wanting to emerge. With this chance, Alexandria the Great (Queen Mab) relieved him of his burden to the best of her abilities. Part of him was gone, whatever part that was, it is uncertain to him this day.

If you look into his eyes properly, you can notice a small lack of luster and life in them. It is guessed that he has lost the ability to see how a child does, with complete imagination, and to see the magic in all the small things.

Jeremy still encounters magical creatures though he cannot see them any longer in plain sight but he prefers it that way. His only worry is about that pure evil becoming part of him again and having another chance to destroy him from the inside-out.
